چکیده

As one of the major risks in high-sulfur crude oil processing, the H2S exposure could be reduced by early warning of H2S leakage. Based on the source and distribution of H2S, the four-level warning mechanisms of H2S leakage is developed by using HSE risk identification system, which makes the H2S concentration values as the grading index. The appropriate emergency measures are formed. To provide guidance for H2S poisoning protection during highsulfur crude oil processing, the safeguards to prevent H2S poisoning are presented according to the cause of H2S poisoning and “Human-Machine-Material-Regulation-Environment”.

Measurement of H2S in Crude Oil and Crude Oil Headspace Using Multidimensional Gas Chromatography, Deans Switching and Sulfur-selective Detection.

A method for the analysis of dissolved hydrogen sulfide in crude oil samples is demonstrated using gas chromatography. In order to effectively eliminate interferences, a two dimensional column configuration is used, with a Deans switch employed to transfer hydrogen sulfide from the first to the second column (heart-cutting). Liquid crude samples are first separated on a dimethylpolysiloxane col...

Effect of Ship Fuel Sulfur Reduction Law on Iranian Oil Price (IMO Law)

In recent decades, the increase of pollution from consumption of oil and petroleum products has led to development of many environmental laws. It is important for Iranian policy makers to be informed about the impact of such laws on oil prices, given the dependence of the country’s budget on oil revenues. Under a new International Maritime Organization regulation passed in mid-2016, ships are r...

Solvent Selection in Impregnation of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles into MCM-41 Investigation of Its Ability Toward H2S Removal from Crude Oil

Silicate mesoporous materials are of the main interesting adsorbents for decreasing of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from crude oil. In this work zinc impregnated highly ordered MCM-41 was synthesized via post-synthesis functionalization and was used as adsorbent for removal of H2S from crude oil. Also the variation of solvents was mainly adjusted. In  order  to  determine  the  ideal  solvent  for  t...

Application of Imidazolium based ionic liquid Nano-emulsions for the removal of H2S from crude oil

Hydrogen sulfide is one of the most dangerous contaminants in crude oil and natural gas that have to be removed prior to the transfer and refining. In this study, hydrophobic ionic liquid, i.e. 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium methylflour, [EMIM] [NTf2], was used as scavenger for the reduction of the H2S. Due to its ionic nature, [EMIM] [NTf2] forms nanoemulsion in crude oil media and hence can diss...

Removal of H2S from crude oil via stripping followed by adsorption using ZnO/MCM-41 and optimization of parameters

In the present work, H2S of crude oil was removed via a two-step method including stripping followed by adsorption. First, ZnO/MCM-41 adsorbents containing 5, 17.5 and 30 wt% of zinc were synthesized and characterized using XRD and nitrogen physisorption. Then, these materials were used as adsorbents for the removal of the H2S stripped from crude oil. At second step, the H2S of crude oil was ex...
